Coming to a High School Near You

Meet Laura Essig, Recruitment Coordinator

Woman with brown hair wearing a blue and gold flower shirt

I graduated from Michigan State University in 2012 and now serve as the Recruitment Coordinator for the College of Arts and Letters. In my role I get to meet with prospective in and out of state students and talk with them about everything the College has to offer. You can see me at high schools, college fairs, or at on campus events. If you are stopping by campus you can set up a visit to learn more about the colleges and major(s) you are interested in. When I am not out traveling across the country, I advise students in the interdisciplinary programs that the College offers including Experience Architecture, Interdisciplinary Humanities, and Humanities-Prelaw. If you have questions about the College of Arts and Letters or want to learn more about a particular program feel free to email me at

I look forward to meeting you!
